“If stock market experts were so expert, they would be buying stock, not selling advice”. Norman Ralph Augustine
Todd’s focus this week is the stock market. I’d like to see more about what you’re learning about the stock market. So, this forum is a bit different. You’ll each build your own threads in answering these questions.
What are the three Stock Valuation Growth Scenarios, that Todd discusses? Can you give a “real world” stock (NYSE or NASDAQ listed) example of a company’s stock that falls into each of these three categories?
What is a P/E ratio? How do you know if it’s good, or bad? Can you give an example of a stock (NYSE or NASDAQ Listed) with a good P/E ratio? How about one with a bad P/E ratio? Why, in each case?
Finally, overvalued, and undervalued. Again, an example of a stock in each category, and why you selected them.
“I never attempt to make money on the stock market. I buy on the assumption that they could close the market the next day and not reopen it for five years.” Warren Buffett
Who is Warren Buffett, what is he implying by this statement, in your opinion, and why should we listen to him……….or should we?
thank you, and I need to see specifics addressing these points in your answers.
