Hi this unit is called JNB156 – Introduction to the maritime Industry.
This is a take home exam and has questions that must be answered.
This does not necessarily have to be answered in an essay structure, no need to put intro or conclusion. Just answer the questions directly.

The exam questions are:

Question 1
Tiffi is a dry bulk shipping company currently operates Valemax and Capesize ships in Asian and European ports. The company intends to extend its operations to the Eastern Africa region.

Discuss the factors that the company should consider
when acquiring more ships to operate in these regions.

Question 2
Discuss with examples the level of threat posed by technology to the maritime workforce?

Question 3
Discuss how current macroeconomic and political activities affect global trade on liquid bulk trade or containerised trade.

Requirements:
