To facilitate this process, you will watch the documentary “Murder on a Sunday Morning” and write an application paper. Your paper should identify and discuss 4 factors from class that contributed to the defendant, Brenton Butler, being wrongfully charged and tried for the crime of murder. Each factor must include two components: (1) Describe and explain the factor by incorporating information from your textbook, articles, lecture, or other course materials (4 points for each factor, 16 points total) and (2) Explain how that factor played a role in Brenton Butler’s case by describing facts and information presented in the documentary (6 points for each factor, 24 points total).
Your paper should be typed (12 characters/inch font), 5 to 7 pages in length, and double-spaced with 1 inch margins.
