Instructions:
You are encouraged to read the material well in advance of the due date in order to think through the topic to further develop a coherent worldview and provide a thoughtful explanation in your thread.
Chapter 1 in the Understanding Property Law text briefly reviews the current predominant view of law known as legal positivism and the predominant view of natural law at the nation’s founding. Chapter 2 briefly discusses 6 theories about property and property rights. Read Chapters 1–2 and the biblical passages found at Genesis 1:26–30, Genesis 2:15, and Exodus 20:15–17.
Select 1 theory discussed in Chapter 2 and in your thread logically explain in an organized, well-written post whether the theory is or is not consistent with the principles these Bible passages express or imply by comparing and contrasting the theory and the biblical passages.
The footnote citations of the course textbook, Bible passages, the colleague’s Thread, and other sources must be cited according to the current edition of the Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation.  (Bluebook citations are to be inserted as footnotes and are not included in the word count.)
