A key performance indicator is an assignment, task, activity, project, or exam used to collect evidence of student learning for a specific CACREP Standard. The CACREP Standard rubric is used to assess the key performance indicator and the cumulative results are used as part of a program’s reporting on student learning in the annual report or self-study. Other coursework can build toward the key performance indicator, meaning that key performance indicator integrates cumulative knowledge of what the student learned in a particular course or set of courses for a particular CACREP Standard(s). Like other assignments, a key performance indicator is graded numerically to be factored into the final course grade.
Students will write a 6-to-8-page paper (not including title or reference pages) using APA style addressing the following questions:
When do clients’ problems begin? Who/what is responsible for those problems? Where do those problems come from?
How should clients’ problems be treated? What is your ideal treatment plan/approach to clients? What is your role in the prevention of mental illness?
How do you view clients’ role in their treatment? How do you view your role in the treatment of your clients? How do you view the role of others (e.g., family members, friends, and community) when approaching treatment?
How do cultural factors, legislation and government policy, and the impact of crisis and trauma impact case conceptualization and/or treatment?
