A well-developed 2-3 sentence thesis statement covering the purpose, argument, or angle of your analysis to the subject matter. Include your thesis statement within the final paragraph of your introduction. 
Your Final Research Paper should remain in one of the following research options:
Traditional research options (1,500 word minimum essay): Requires a minimum of 4 academic sources of your own finding.  
1. Compose an essay based on immigrant struggle from the Global South into the Global North. Focus on contemporary migration from the African Diaspora, Asia, Latin America or the Caribbean. How has intervention from the Global North–the U.S. and/or Europe–affect patterns of migration from your own select country, region or community from the Global South in correlation to conflict, neoliberal policies and/or colonial legacy? How has the immigration industrial complex via the increase of detention centers or families/children in detention reflect growing xenophobia in the Global North/U.S.?
