PROMPT:
Consider that you are interested to gather public opinion about a political policy issue that you really care about.
1. What is the issue?
2. Why do you feel passionately here?
3. Who would you ask in a survey and how might you gather their opinions?
4. Draft a mini-survey of 5 or more questions with possible response options (yes, no, or don’t know, agree, disagree, etc.)
5. Use your citations to make some predictions about how you would expect people of different groups to respond. You might, for example, consider liberals versus conservatives, men versus women, etc.
BE SURE TO:
Write at least 200 words.
Compose an on-topic essay that responds to the question(s) posed.
Use the skills you learned in the Library Workshop on articles to research and include one piece of evidence from a verifiable outside news source or periodical. Cite your source both in text and as a citation at the end of your post using a manual of style.
Additional questions outside of your survey are not required.
Respond to a post from another student that has not been responded to yet with a post response of at least 200 words that answers their survey and is responsive to their comments.
Review your post for completeness before submitting, as edits are not permitted and additions after your first response to the thread are not counted for credit.
