In the Cultural Analysis mini-challenge, you will exercise your skills in interpretation and criticism of a cultural text (such as a film, music video, artwork or TV show).
The choice is yours; choose something that appeals to you and interests you, and that allows you to engage with the themes, concepts and readings from the subject.
*The tutors prefers the student to focus on a scene in the movie and deeply analyze it. The key concept of this gender, sexuality, colonialism and global sexual politics.
Assessment Criteria for Cultural Analysis & Discussion Responses:
Demonstrates knowledge of concepts, theories, and arguments covered in the subject
Shows capacity to connect concepts, theories and arguments to contemporary, external, real-world or cultural examples
Demonstrates continuous engagement with the assessment task throughout the semester by spreading posts across the semester and addressing a range of different weeks/topics
Exercises precision in presentation (including clarity and fluency of written expression and appropriate use of links, images, hypertext and other illustrative/supportive material and/or fluency in digital communication technologies and/or the creation of short video content to communicate arguments and ideas)
