For this assignment, you will select, review, and analyze a recent journal article (published
within the last 5 years) from a peer-reviewed publication (e.g. (a) American Journal of Tropical
Medicine and Hygiene, (b) Emerging Infectious Diseases, and (c) The Journal of Infectious
Diseases) about a disease or topic found in the readings. You must evaluate the chosen paper
against at least four (4) other peer-reviewed sources. You may cite your selected journal article
in the article review. However, the reference will not count as one of the required four (4) peer-
reviewed sources. You will then compose a journal article review paper, consisting of 4–5 pages
in length, not including the cover page and references, double-spaced on standard-sized paper
(8.5″ x 11″), with 1″ margins on all sides, on your selected peer-reviewed publication topic. The
paper must contain the following sections: (a) An Introduction; (b) an Article Summary; (c) an
Epidemiology of Infectious Disease section that includes a description of the impact of the
disease and best practices or standards of care related to the disease; (d) Compare and Contrast
Paragraph(s); and (e) an Evaluation and Critique section
