“Analysis”, you must provide examples of your ability to view problems and
situations critically, prioritize the potential causes, and address the
elements constructively. Analysis can be quantitative or qualitative. The
problem, issue, or material should be identified, separated into its
constituent parts, and illustrate how the parts relate to one another and to
the overall structure or purpose. We prefer you use examples that are related
to homeland security. The Application Committee’s assessment of the Analysis
essay is based on your ability to analyze any problem, recognize the key issues
or parts, and order and prioritize the parts.
