Question 1: The article ‘Competitive Advantage and Global Expansion’ (Vice Media) discusses the company’s expansion/outsourcing strategy in some detail. The section illustrates the fact that ViceMedia operates in an industry with a more unique service (digital media).  Based on the reading, explain in your own words the possible benefits and drawbacks to this model.  
Question 2: The chapter reading in this Unit describes risks associated with Outsourcing. Two reasons focus on the possible loss of control and the loss of innovation.  
Choosing one of these two risks, explain why this potential problem may pose a serious issue for the organization.  
The organization may decide to outsource a small ‘sample’ of the activity, in order to test the results (ex: the corporation establishes a small information technology team in India to assess benefits versus risks) In your opinion, is this approach a good way to best understand risks and rewards, or is this test inadequate?
