D&B has been asked to present to the annual regional conference of STEM educators. The topic will be Anatomy of Incident Response and Root Cause Analysis. Conference attendees would like a high-level look at how the incident response is carried out by a forensic investigator, and a brief explanation of the root cause analysis with a few best practices.
Tasks
For this part of the project, perform the following tasks:
Create a professional PowerPoint presentation summarizing the following:
At a high level, describe the steps in performing digital forensics from the initial recognition of an incident through the steps of evidence gathering, preservation, and analysis, through the completion of legal proceedings.
Describe root cause analysis and include two or three best practices.
Keep in mind that the audience is non-technical.
Cite sources, where appropriate.
