Humanities Term Paper
Assignment Overview:
Students will write a paper with a minimum of 1000 words, responding to the following prompt:
Evaluate the extent to which art communicates religious beliefs and ideas. Use examples from at least three different cultures covered in this course. In addition to these three examples, you may also draw from your own experiences.
*Ideally students will choose one culture from each unit to demonstrate a breadth of knowledge and understanding of the topic.
PART ONE: Rough Outline
Students will submit an outline by April 18. This should include an introductory paragraph with thesis statement, outlines of at least three body paragraphs, and a conclusion.

PART TWO: Final Draft
Students will submit a final draft of no less than 1000 words by April 25. Papers must follow MLA guidelines. A bibliography will be required if outside sources are used.

Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, and Ancient Rome, Ancient India, Ancient Mesopotamia,  Byzantium, Ancient China Are some of the cultures covered during this course
