Students will be expected to write an 11-13 page long analytical essay (excluding the title page references). 
You should pick a topic of your choice that is related to this class, International Organizations and Institutions. Your paper should demonstrate an understanding of the class concepts and their relationship to global governance. 
Some possible topics: regionalism in Asia, Africa, Europe, or Latin America; regional development banks’ role; U.N. interventionism, I.O. and Humanitarianism, I.O. and peacekeeping force, U.N. reform, World Bank and Development, IMF and financial systems, WTO and trade systems, Global governance and development, etc
The topic should be tailored to your individual learning goals, but whatever you choose to do should develop your skills and knowledge about Global governance and international institutions. This assignment should reflect advanced undergraduate-level work. It should meet the course’s objectives and demonstrate creativity and originality. Late papers will be penalized by awarding a lower grade.
