The purpose of the paper is to develop and apply
combined (road-rail) transportation in practice.
The
system of organizing combined (road-rail) transportation was chosen as the
object of study.
The
subject of the study is the process of combined (road-rail) transportation.
At
the same time, the following restrictions are imposed on the study: the process
of combined transport is considered in the work only within the boundaries of
road and rail.
The
theoretical significance of the work lies in identifying the patterns of
functioning of the combined transport system and the phenomena that have a
negative impact on it.
Practical
significance of the work lies in the possibility of using
developed and substantiated proposals in the activities of transport companies
engaged in combined (road-rail) transportation.
